eyes

A couple girls from a portrait assignment at a church. These two always make me smile, and make me want little blonde girls as my own kids.

feet

I took this shot in the early morning in a small town in Bangladesh. A local family offered me some mangoes, and I took this shot from the waist of their boy's feet while we feasted.

my new lens

Prime lenses have fixed focal lengths, which makes them pretty boring to most people because they can't zoom. The benefit though is an amazing sharpness and excellent background blurring called bokeh. I took these with my new 50mm prime.

more travel portraits

Just came across these three, from Darjeeling, Dhaka, and Peru, respectively.

monastery

Christ in the Desert monastery. 13 miles down an unmarked dirt road, outside the boomtown of Abiquiu, New Mexico.

Olympic National Park

This is a remarkable place. And very wet.
